Class Information

Requirements:

• Fill out the Class Application and return it no later than 4 PM on 3/1.

Application Submission: Turn in the completed application directly to Addison Walden (located in the NFHS Performing Arts Center) -OR- you can email it to awalden@forsyth.k12.ga.us as well as share it with Addison Walden on Google Drive.

Application due by 4 PM on 3/1. No audition required. Interviews may follow at discretion of teachers.

• Perform 60-90 seconds worth of monologues. You can do one lengthy monologue which shows your range or two contrasting monologues.

Audition Submission: For students currently in an NFHS Theatre Class: class time will be set aside on or before 3/1 -OR- you can record yourself and email it to awalden@forsyth.k12.ga.us as well as share it with Addison Walden on Google Drive by 10 PM on 3/1.

For students not currently enrolled in an NFHS Theatre Class: you can record yourself and email it to awalden@forsyth.k12.ga.us as well as share it with Addison Walden on Google Drive by 10 PM on 3/1. If video is not an option, arrange a time before school to perform your monologues at least 24 hours in advance.

• Perform a musical theatre song with a background track or piano accompaniment. No a capella and no lyrics on backing tracks. Prepare at least 32 bars of music (approx. 1 minute).

• Perform a 1-minute dance. Watch the videos located on our website, https://www.nfhsdrama.org, located under the 2019-2020 Classes Tab. Teach yourself the dance and perform it.
